Way back in 2005, I quit my job and embarked on a life of adventure. My plan was to spend a year traveling through Latin America, but there was so much to see and do, I extended my trip to two and a half years. (Day 0 -- Day 934). My time between jobs (1053 days if you're keeping track) is the inspiration for this website's name, as well as the title of my books. In August 2018 I started my next adventure, living in Hong Kong with my wife Katie. I'm studying Cantonese, traveling around Asia and sharing my stories and a bit of travel advice with you.
