- There are no longer any Chinese cities among the ten most polluted cities in the world. In fact, the most polluted Chinese city (according to this list) is Lanzhou, at number 36.
- There are 1864 giant pandas living in the wild in China. and around 250 living in captivity worldwide. Of these, 83 are in the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
