I had 10 days off of work before Christmas 2004, so I decided to drive to Niagara Falls, Montreal, and Toronto.
Toronto
After a 3-day stay in Toronto, I came back home. There was a bad snow storm that day and it took 14 hours for me to drive back, which included a 1-hour nap at a rest stop. The roads in Canada were terrible with black ice everywhere. However, after I got back into the US, the roads became much better. Needless to say, I was extremly exhausted after this trip, but I had a really fun time nonetheless. I would definitely recommend all 3 destinations for any would-be travelers, but it's probably not a good idea to drive there in the middle of winter. The good thing about winter was that accomodation was cheap and easy to find and there weren't many tourists.
