Minneapolis Visit

Picture of tree.

Damned treehuggers.

I went with Katie to Minneapolis over the weekend for her friends Lisa and Mark's wedding. Lake Calhoun was still full of plenty of fall colors, and I got to check out the famous cherry spoon sculpture. We also went to the Waubasha caves in St Paul. They were an underground speakeasy during Prohibition, and they've changed ownership many times over the years. They're only open to the public one night per week nowadays for swing dancing, and they still do tours. It was interesting to see how much trouble people had to go through just to drink alcohol back in the 1920's, and I'm glad that whole experiment ended a long time ago.

Photos from Minneapolis.
